Custom Necklaces & Pendants

A cute little flutterby
So precious, and just a little larger than a quarter. I'll admit, I'm not a "girly girl" with my jewelry...but when I tried this on I thought, "OHMY!" It's very sparkly and so sweet!
The chain is solid Sterling Silver and petite--only 1.5mm wide--but it is high quality and quite sturdy. I designed the butterfly from scratch and used only my pliers and hands to form it, along with my hammer to give it some shape and harden the metal, which is also solid Sterling. I lightly antiqued the butterfly (as you can tell, because the chain is not) and polished away much of it to give the butterfly depth and help the wrapping and gemstones really shine!
The gemstones are a lovely raspberry Rhodolite Garnet, Pink Tourmaline, pale Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz. The butterfly gently suspends from the chain strung through two small rings. It lies nice and flat while worn and is lightweight.

A labor of love...
This one-of-a-kind Serpentine and Copper pendant took several hours of tedious weaving, wrapping, coiling, sizing and re-sizing to get it just right! It was my first attempt at an amazing design inspired by jewelry artist, Abby Hook. Her design is modeled after an ammonite, an extinct marine invertebrate that many associate with the nautilus species.
The wonderful thing I love about this particular pendant is that it's tailored toward a stone that is drilled (a bead) and not a cabochon (no hole). If you are looking for maximum healing from the gemstone in your pendant, this allows the stone to directly touch your skin :)
After it was complete, I told myself I didn't think I'd do it again...however, my customers are asking otherwise ;) So I'm sure there will be others in the making that are similar yet unique!!
Elk Ivory and Emerald
This Valentine got her gift a day early! This one-of-a-kind necklace was a fun challenge AND a joy to create!
The focal is elk ivory, a material I'd never worked with before. I received it in its raw state and filed it down to the appropriate shape and size. After many hours in the tumbler, it came out with a beautiful, glossy shine! It was still an odd shape for wire wrapping, but the VikingWeave in Bronze was perfect to secure it yet let its beauty show :)
You'll notice the chain is two tones--Sterling Silver and BRONZE! When antiqued and polished, it's subtle and still very warm colored which looks great with the browns in the ivory.
The vine is Sterling and the leaves were made by me and soldered to the vine. One leaf is woven in Bronze, one is a heart, and 2 have tiny Emeralds woven into them.

Sodalite on silk
This is one of the most lovely cabochons I've had so far--Swirlstone! It's Sodalite (blue) banded with orange and pink Feldspar. At 35x20mm and a 7mm dome peak, it's hefty yet just right for a pendant. It was cut by Jason at Francois Studios right here in the USA.
I didn't have a second thought but to use the Viking Weave on this stone! You can see all the beautiful banding from edge to edge. The wire is Argentium Silver, lightly antiqued and hand polished to a high shine. The Argentium will keep it looking new and shiny for years to come because it is tarnish-free!
Keeping it simple, the Swirlstone hangs from a soft, feminine silk ribbon. There's no clasp, so it can be tied to any length its new owner desires!

a "fairy" beautiful stone!
A good friend asked me to wrap this very special stone (which I think may be Laguna Lace Agate) for her to wear as a pendant. The technique is called a Viking Knit or Weave.
I love it because it doesn't cover much of the stone and it lets the stone be the star, not the wrapping! For this stone I chose copper wire and then oxidized and hand-polished it for a little shine.
There's a neat story behind how my friend acquired it--one day, she went out to her garage/shed and as she opened the door she noticed something out of the corner of her eye in the window ledge on the outside of the building. It was this stone! There was never anything there before, and none of her friends or neighbors seemed to know anything about it. She chalks it up to the woodland fairies leaving her a gift for her work as a healer, and her love for Momma Earth and her little helpers, the fairies :)

Viking Weave and Aqua Terra Jasper
Intricate and rustic all wrapped up in one necklace!
Hanging from the soft, raw leather cord is an eye-catching Aqua Terra Jasper. Because of its natural off-center shape, the Viking Weave was perfect to hold it safely yet show off its beauty!
This one-of-a-kind stone is just wider than a quarter and about 1/4" thick, and is wrapped in genuine Bronze which was antiqued then polished. The clasp on the cord is antiqued Sterling.

Balancing the chakras
Tree of Life Pendant--Chakra Balancing...LOVE!!
This custom piece is 2" wide--fairly substantial for pendant. All the genuine, micro-faceted gemstones are only 2-3.5mm in diameter but give off some major sparkle The wire is Copper that has been oxidized to nearly black, with just a touch polished away to let the warmth glow through. It hangs from a rustic brown leather cord.
The gemstones are (from left, starting with 1st chakra): Smoky Quartz, Mozambique Garnet, Yellow Sapphire, Peridot, Apatite, Iolite and Amethyst.
There are countless variations of the Tree of Life, especially in wire jewelry--this is my first creation! Many more to come :)

Tree of Life in muted Earth colors
This one-of-a-kind Tree of Life pendant is subtle yet striking!
I used heavy gauge Sterling Silver for the foundation and hammered it gently for a little texture. The gemstones are green Apatite, Prehnite, pink Amethyst and Smoky Quartz--mostly subtle colors but yet they all stand out on their own even though they are only 2-3mm wide!
The pendant is an inch in diameter, so not too large or heavy. It hangs from a shiny, black leather cord and hand-made clasp and a few extra rings for adjustability.

Tree full of Life!
Here's another custom version of the Tree of Life! The tree is leaning and lightly billowing and the bottom portion of the chain mimics the branches. Wire leaves were worked in to make the tree full of life! This design is slightly larger than a choker with the pendant measuring approximately 1-3/4" by 1-1/8".
The gemstones chosen by its owner are Prehnite (green), Sunstone (orange), Rubies and Smoky Quartz (gray/brown). They look amazing together--very gemmy and colorful!
The chain is "unbreakable"--each link is permanently wired into the next.
This is my first piece using Argentium Silver. It's similar to Sterling, but is tarnish-free. In this piece, it is still antiqued (tarnished), but its current finish should remain instead of forming a darker patina over time.

Glowing pearls
A very happy birthday gift for a lovely, sweet friend! A completely hand-made jump ring chain of antiqued Sterling Silver and gorgeous freshwater Pearls...so pretty!
Design credit for the flower pendant goes to JustynaJewellery.

Birthday gifts for Mom
More fun with the Wrapped Petal Daisies! This is a custom ring and necklace set of the original Yellow Topaz Wrapped Petal Daisy ring.
The main metal is bare antiqued Copper and the petals are wrapped with Sterling Silver. I decided to add Topaz embellishments at the clasp--the recipient has short hair so the back of her neck is a fun and unexpected place for extra decoration.
Both pieces were hand-polished and made with lots of love! What a sweet and thoughtful surprise for a very deserving wife and mom! :):)

Something for myself...
Labradorite is one of my absolute favorite gemstones! I bought myself this stone earlier in the year and finally made it into something to wear :) Its flash at just the right angle is stunning!
This looped bezel setting design was fun to make and can hold just about any size or shape of stone. I chose Copper, which I antiqued and buffed away a tiny bit to allow the warm Copper to glow through. I chose a rustic brown leather cord from which to wear it.

In memory of a beloved pet
Just LOVE Snowflake Obsidian! What pretty "snowflakes" this one has! And just lovely wrapped in the Looped Bezel. The pendant size is just smaller than a quarter.
All the wire is Sterling Silver which has been heavily oxidized and then hand-polished to show glossy highlights. The chain is hand-made by me and the "unbreakable" links are quite unique and extremely sturdy.
This custom necklace was lovingly made for a gal in memory of her sweet dog companion (who, of course, was black and gray!).
Pendant design based on the work of Abby Hook. Unbreakable Chain design based on the work of Athena Gowton.

black pearl in a nest
This gorgeous large black Pearl is a sentimental item belonging to a customer who wanted it incorporated into a bird's nest pendant. It turned out so lovely! The nest is about the size of a quarter (1" diameter).
The wire is a very fine gauge Bronze that was heavily antiqued before creating the nest. After, I lightly brushed and polished the surface of the nest so the warm Bronze highlights sparkle while the dark crevices give the it depth and contrast. And the Bronze looks stunning with the silvery black Pearl!
The rustic black leather cord was made by me with a nice, sturdy lobster clasp and an inch of extra rings to make it adjustable.

LOVE <3
Don't you just LOVE this necklace?? :)
This is the beauty of a custom design! My customer wanted a bird's nest with the word "Love", with 3 stones and 1 pearl, and somewhat vintage look. In the end we chose a chain with ribbon around the neck and a clasp on the side for comfort! All wire is Sterling Silver.
Originally the "Love" was to dangle beneath but it evolved into being wired onto the bird's nest's side, with the heart being part of the bail to hang from the chain. LOVE!
Slightly romantic, pretty with the curves of the wire, yet bold at the same time. And completely unique!

New baby
A lovely and sweet pendant for a new Momma! Leah, being her new baby's name, swings gently below and the nest includes the birthstones of Momma (Citrine for November), Dad (Pink Tourmaline for October), and baby (Blue Topaz for December). So precious!
All the wire is Sterling Silver, which I antiqued until completely black! Once set, it got an hour in the tumbler to burnish it to a glossy gunmetal and then I hand polished the surface. This process makes the detailed wrapping of the bird's nest show through.

Modern style
This modern-style Sterling Silver necklace features a very cool Banded Agate donut as its focal. The unique hand-made chain links are unbreakable and it has a hidden side clasp just above one of the Fossil Coral rondelles.
The colors are neutral, so this necklace is a great go-to for just about any outfit!

Snowflake Obsidian and handmade chain
This was made for a very special lady and given to her by her coworkers. They requested Snowflake Obsidian and I found this beautiful matte teardrop one after a lot of digging at a large gem shop--in fact, it was the ONLY one at the store! It was meant to be hers :)
It's gorgeous and along with the hand-made Sterling Silver chain, it was made with much love and is awesomely unique, just like its new owner!

Goldstone heart
Bought during a vacation as a souvenir, this hefty little Goldstone heart needed a home! The minimal design with lovely, flowing Copper wire lets the heart show maximum sparkle and a little detailed wrapping at the bottom and on the bail adds just a touch of elegance.
The 2mm genuine leather cord is adjustable from 19-20", perfect for wearing with both tees and sweaters! A little Jasper round dangles from the extension to help keep it in place at the back of her neck.

heart chakra pendant
This sweet little custom order heart pendant was hand-forged from scratch from Sterling Silver wire. I antiqued it until it was nearly black and then hand-polished it, leaving a little darkness in all the crevices and a touch of patina to give it a more vintage look.
Dangling in the center is a pale pink 10mm Rose Quartz heart, and the 3 micro-faceted rondelles framing the bottom are lovely pale green Prehnite.
I can custom make a pendant for you, too! You can wear it on your own chain, or talk to me about my hand-made chains, leather cords or silk ribbon.

Country girls have more fun! :)
Gotta love this lightweight natural design with a pop of gorgeous colors!
Soft, light leather loops are connected with rustic Sterling Silver rings and dangling blue-green Apatite, brown Leaf Jasper, and orange Carnelian Heishi squares. The pendant is a unique Chrysocolla in Quartz--so lovely!!
The clasp is on the side--a hand-made rustic toggle. The length of the necklace is a little longer than standard, around 23" plus the length of the pendant.
Matching earrings makes for a fun, complete set! Casual enough for a summer barbeque and sassy enough for a night out!
